Only happy, when others aren't unhappy

Listen now, and know my curse. Some may see it as a gift, but it has rarely served to my advantage. I am wise beyond all my years, but because of this I feel like an old man trapped in a teenage body. My thoughts are trapped inside, hiding from the immature and delinquent activity in my surroundings. It's probably better that way. I'd be cast out faster and farther that I could imagine if my true colors shown through. Before I continue, know that I do not mean to brag. If you dare think I brag about my monstrous dilemma than you gravely misunderstand me. Have you ever felt sympathy for someone in pain? I should hope you have.

He rarely let the air touch his face, or his skin in general. He kept himself covered, a worn, dirty brown scarf covering his mouth and most of his nose. The rest of his face was concealed by a white, ornate mask with a black imprint of fire on the left cheek. He wore an old brown hoodie that was bigger than it needed to be, and hung low on him. The hood was big enough and the lighting he preferred was dark enough to disguise anything that wasn't the scarf or the mask. The scene was hard to look at. There was blood spattered on the faded 70's wallpaper and the stench of rot hung in the middle of the room.   I wish I could tell you that I'm discontented.  Misery makes me write especially well.  No, I'm not discontented at all.  In fact, I'm pretty happy.  I haven't written anything in what feels like over a year and I could blame it on my culinary classes but I know that I just haven't felt like writing very recently.  Though, I kinda feel like writing something right now.  I'm out of practice, so it's probably not a bad idea.  Lets see... About a Year Later

It's been nearly a year since I last updated my journal for this deviantart profile.  I've just been busy with school, learning how to drive, getting on depression medication, writing fan fictions, drawing for my advanced placement art class, and working with a 3.6 GPA to get myself into the Art Institutes (Inland Empire) to study culinary and eventually become an executive chef in some restaurant somewhere.  It's not the most thrilling of dreams, but it's my goal for now.  Culinary career first, writing career later. I still have problems.  I mean, who doesn't?  But all the stuff revolving around my parent's divorce has been long since wrap
